How many family weekend trips have started out along side the road with a blown-out tire? I hope none, but we have all seen people with boats, ice castles, snowmobile trailers, campers or utility trailers broke down on the freeway with cars and semi’s rushing past at 70 miles an hour. We know that is not how they wanted to start their trip and they may have lost an entire day of what was supposed to be a worry-free weekend.
Many of those road-side repairs can be avoided with a yearly maintenance to ensure your tires are in good shape, the bearings are greased, the lug nuts are tight, the tire pressure is at the correct PSI, and the spare tire is ready to go should you hit something on the road and need to use it. This is just a short list of the items that are included in a yearly safety check.
